Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift is an American country and pop singer/songwriter. The stories of Taylor Swift's songs are about the heartache of an infant girl. Swift showed an interest in music at an early age, and quickly moved from roles in children's theatre to her first appearance before a crowd of thousands. Swift started writing songs when she was 11. Swift took inspiration from artists who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks to come up with original songs which reflected the alienation she experienced by 13. Swift's parents moved her from Pennsylvania to Tennessee when she was 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. This gave Swift to devote more time looking for labels to promote country music in Nashville.
